Paid Media & Conversion Rate Optimisation

Your ads are fine. The page they land on is losing the money.

I rebuild the landing page your ads point at, then split-test it against your current one so you can see which produces more enquiries. The first build is free — I keep the case study.

17 years buying paid traffic. Private dental, legal, home improvement, trades — anywhere one new client is worth four figures.

What the page is costing you

Change the numbers to yours. Everything below updates.

I spend £ a month on ads, a click costs about £, and roughly % of visitors enquire. One enquiry is worth about £ to me.

24enquiries a month now
31enquiries after the rebuild
£38,880more revenue a year, same ad budget

That's arithmetic, not a promise. A 30% lift is common on a page that was never built for paid traffic; some pages give more, some give nothing until the third test. The point is that the number is big enough to be worth measuring properly.

I build the first page free

You've had the cold email promising a free audit. This isn't that. I build the actual page, point half your traffic at it, and we both watch what happens.

  • You pay nothing for the build.

No setup fee, no deposit, no minimum term.

  • I keep the numbers.

Before and after, published as a case study with your name on it. That's my fee.

  • We agree what counts before I start.

Which action is a conversion, which dates we compare, what would mean it failed.

  • If it doesn't beat your page, we stop.

You keep the page, you owe me nothing, and I don't get a case study.

  • If it wins, we talk about the ongoing work.

Monthly testing, and usually the ad account after that. Never before there's evidence.

I take on two free builds a month, because each one is real work and I'd rather do two properly than eight badly.

Five things break most local service pages

Not a checklist I ran through a tool. This is what actually costs money on pages that get paid clicks.

01

The ad promises one thing, the page says another

Someone searches "emergency dentist", clicks an ad about emergency appointments, and lands on a homepage about teeth whitening and the practice's history. They leave in four seconds and you paid for it.

02

The page is a homepage wearing a hat

Homepages are built for people who already know you. Paid traffic is strangers. One offer, one action, nothing else to click — that's a landing page, and most businesses don't have one.

03

Nobody knows which enquiries came from where

Half of local enquiries arrive by phone. If calls aren't tracked, your ad account is optimising on the half it can see and starving the campaigns that actually make you money.

04

The form asks for things you don't need yet

Eight fields, a dropdown of services they don't recognise, and a "how did you hear about us?". Every field is a chance to stop. You need enough to call them back.

05

It's slow on a phone on 4G

Not slow on your office wifi. Slow in a van, in a car park, at 7pm — where these clicks actually happen.

Who this works for

I'd rather tell you now than three weeks in.

Worth a conversation

  • You already spend on Google Ads, roughly £1,000 a month or more
  • One new client is worth £500 or more to you
  • Private dental, legal, home improvement, trades, clinics
  • You can tell me what a lead is worth, even roughly
  • Someone answers the phone within office hours

Probably not me

  • You're not running paid ads yet — there's nothing to test against
  • Ecommerce with hundreds of products
  • You want more traffic rather than more from the traffic you have
  • You need it live this week
  • You want a brand refresh, a logo, and a social calendar

Four steps, about three weeks

No onboarding portal, no kick-off deck. This is the whole thing.

  1. The teardown

You send your URL. I record five minutes going through your live ads and the page they point at, showing exactly where the money leaks. Free, no call needed, yours whether we work together or not.

  2. Twenty minutes on the phone

What a client is worth, which jobs you actually want more of, what the last agency did. We agree what we're measuring and what would count as a failure.

  3. I build the page and split the traffic

New page goes live alongside the old one. Half your paid traffic to each, call tracking in place, so the comparison is honest rather than seasonal luck.

  4. We read the result together

Enough traffic to mean something, then the numbers. It won, it lost, or it's too close to call — I'll tell you which, including when it's the last one.

How I'll prove it worked

Anyone can put "+312%" on a website. Here's the standard I hold my own numbers to — and you should hold any agency's numbers to the same one.

Split, not before-and-after
Both pages run at the same time on the same traffic. Comparing this month to last month measures the weather, not the page.
Calls counted as conversions
Tracked numbers on both pages. A page that wins on forms and loses on calls has not won.
Enquiries, then jobs
More enquiries is the first measure. Whether they turned into booked work is the one that matters, and I ask you for it at 90 days.
Enough data to mean something
A test with 40 visitors proves nothing. If we don't get the volume, I say so instead of picking the number that flatters me.
You see the raw account
Your Google Ads and analytics, your logins. Nothing is retyped into a slide by me.

Case studies from the current free builds go here as the tests finish. Until then I'd rather show you the method than invent the numbers.

17 years on both sides of the click

Most people who build landing pages have never spent their own money on traffic. Most people who buy traffic hand the page to someone else and blame it later.

I've done both for seventeen years, mostly in arbitrage — where you find out within a day whether a page pays for its own clicks.

What that means for you

  • The person diagnosing the funnel is the person who fixes it
  • No account manager, no juniors, no weekly slide deck
  • When the ad account is the problem, I'll say so instead of selling you a page
  • Two free builds a month — that's the real capacity

Send me the page your ads point at

You'll get the five-minute teardown video back within two working days. No call required to get it, and no follow-up sequence if you never reply.
